Job Title:
DARC Software Engineer
Design, implement, and maintain mission applications and services using C++, Python, and MATLAB, aligned with system needs. Develop robust interfaces, processing pipelines, and tooling on Linux (including Red Hat) and Windows platforms. Apply expert‑level debugging skills to isolate complex issues across OS, network, and application layers; instrument code for observability and performance. Contribute to radar‑adjacent capabilities by leveraging basic radar and signal processing concepts to integrate, test, and validate features.
Collaborate across systems, software, test, and operations teams to deliver reliable and secure capabilities in a mission environment. Author technical documentation and support accreditation, deployment, and sustainment activities. International travel (primarily to Australia, up to 50%) is required to support site integration, operator enablement, and mission operations.
- Design, implement, and maintain mission applications in C++, Python, and MATLAB.
- Develop interfaces, processing pipelines, and tooling on Linux and Windows platforms.
- Debug issues across OS, network, and application layers; enhance code observability and performance.
- Integrate, test, and validate radar and signal processing features.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver secure mission capabilities.
- Author technical documentation and support deployment activities.
- Travel internationally to support site integration and mission operations.
- Proficiency in C++, Python, and MATLAB.
- Expert debugging skills in multi‑OS environments.
- Hands‑on experience with Linux (including Red Hat) and Windows.
- Familiarity with radar and signal processing concepts.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation skills.
- Security+ (SEC+) certification.
- U.S. Citizenship and an active Secret clearance.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in defense/aerospace programs or Space Domain Awareness missions.
- Exposure to secure software delivery practices such as Dev Sec Ops pipelines.
- Knowledge of test automation, CI/CD, and observability tools.
- Skills in performance optimization for real‑time systems.
This is a Contract position based out of Colorado Springs, CO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60.00 - $80.00/hr.
