Position: Material Coordinator with at least 75% travel

Material Coordinator (≥75% Travel)

Fort Carson, CO
Full‑time

Pay Range: $28.30/hr – $28.30/hr

Base pay includes $5.09 health & welfare. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), and a range of voluntary benefits. Vacation, holiday and sick leave are as defined under the U.S. Department of Labor wage determination.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate receipt, staging, and movement of equipment turned in by Army units.
  • Ensure proper sequencing and prioritization of items for inspection, accountability, and storage.
  • Track status of turn‑ins from initial receipt through final disposition.
  • Support high‑volume, mass turn‑in operations by managing workflow and resource allocation.
  • Review and validate supply documents such as DA Form 1348‑1A, DD Form 200, hand receipts, and condition codes.
  • Ensure timely and accurate data entry into Army systems such as GCSS‑Army, DPAS, or LMP.
  • Maintain logs, spreadsheets, and reports for daily, weekly, and monthly activity.
  • Support audit readiness by maintaining accurate and compliant material records.
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff for storage, location management, and retrieval of equipment.
  • Ensure proper tagging, labeling, and segregation of serviceable, unserviceable, and HAZMAT items.
  • Monitor availability and safe use of material handling equipment (MHE).
  • Work with transportation staff to schedule and track incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Prepare cargo movement requests, shipping documentation, and load plans in accordance with Army and DTR standards.
  • Ensure accountability during loading, movement, and off‑loading of equipment.
  • Assist unit supply personnel during turn‑in to resolve documentation discrepancies.
  • Serve as a liaison between contractor site staff, Army units, and the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR).
  • Provide responsive customer service to supported units while maintaining compliance.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s in logistics, supply chain, or a related field preferred.
  • 3‑5 years of logistics, supply, or materiel management experience.
  • Prior U.S. Army or contractor experience in equipment turn‑in or supply support activities (SSA) strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Army supply regulations: AR 710‑2, AR 735‑5, DA PAM 710‑2‑1.
  • Proficiency with Army logistics systems: GCSS‑Army, DPAS, LMP, TC‑AIMS II.
  • Familiarity with Army documentation and condition coding requirements.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking ability in a high‑volume environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to read, interpret, and process Army supply documentation.
  • Effective communication and coordination skills with Army units and contractor staff.
  • Ability to operate or coordinate safe use of MHE.
  • A REAL  be required.
  • Must have a Colorado driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance.
  • 75% travel is required.
