Position Summary

With the current substitute teacher shortage, schools are struggling to fill teacher absences each day.

In the same way that drivers receive trip requests, self-employed substitutes receive teaching requests through Tagg. You choose when, where, and how much you are willing to sub for. Use Tagg to substitute teach in your area as an independent contractor . Our schools need you!

As a substitute teacher you will provide valuable instruction and guidance while regular teachers are absent.

Compensation

Qualifications

A High School Diploma or Associates is required to receive jobs through Tagg, however, a Bachelor's degree or higher will get you more sub opportunities
Substitutes with a 1-5 year substitute authorization or a teaching license will have access to sub at more schools
Must undergo a background check in absence of Colorado substitute or teaching license
Must sign Tagg sub teaching agreement
Previous substitute or classroom experience welcome, but not required

A: A sub license is not required, however with an active 1, 3 or 5 year sub license or teacher license you will not need to undergo a background check.

Why does the rate per day fluctuate?_

A:
The day rate depends on the job and school you sub for. Schools we partner with pay from $120 to $200 a day.

A:
Even though most schools we partner with accept a HS diploma, some may require and associates degree or higher to sub there.
