ABOUT OUR SCHOOL:

Gypsum Creek Middle School is situated at the west end of Eagle County and serves grades six through eight of our community. Our school vision is to create and cultivate a rigorous culture of learning. The current school goals revolve around two major areas:

  • Learning Environment and Student Engagement: We believe that fostering student engagement is essential to creating a dynamic, inclusive, and welcoming learning environment where every student’s curiosity is sparked, diverse strengths are celebrated, and individual identities are valued. We are committed to ensuring that every student feels a genuine sense of belonging, sees themselves as an important and valued member of the GCMS community, and is excited to come to school each day.
  • English Language Arts and Math: We believe that improving student achievement and growth in English Language Arts and Math is a shared responsibility across all content areas. Through intentional lesson design, explicit instruction, and strategic, data-driven decision-making, we will embed opportunities for students to strengthen reading comprehension, written expression, academic vocabulary, mathematical reasoning, and real-world problem-solving in every classroom. By meeting students where they are academically, socially, and emotionally, we will provide targeted, responsive support and meaningful opportunities for growth at both the individual and school wide levels, ensuring every student develops the foundational skills needed for success across all content areas and beyond GCMS.

At Gypsum Creek, we want teachers who embrace middle schoolers and the unique elements of this critical time in children’s development. We are team oriented and operate through collaboration and shared leadership.

Is this you?

If so, we want to talk to you!
