Salary: $70,000.00 - $72,500.00
Key Responsibilities- Own the design, build, and maintenance of EGSE systems for AI&T, Flat Sat, and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HITL) environments.
- Develop EGSE for:
- Ground power systems
- Data interfaces (CAN, Ethernet, RS-XXX)
- Electrical load simulation and inhibit control
- Solar array simulators
- RF test and calibration support
- Lead hands-on integration, troubleshooting, and day-to-day maintenance of ground systems.
- Create and maintain standard operating procedures for EGSE operation and configuration.
- Collaborate closely with avionics, software, and test operations to ensure compatibility with spacecraft systems.
- Integrate EGSE controls into ground software tools and automation frameworks.
- Drive make-vs-buy decisions and support component selection and procurement.
- Provide input into spacecraft electrical architecture to ensure seamless interface with test systems.
- Build and configure EGSE harnessing for everyday AI&T use, as well as specialized thermal‑vacuum and environmental test setups.
- Support powered spacecraft testing by developing and executing test procedures.
- Support HITL campaigns with test procedure development, setup, and execution.
- 5+ years of direct experience supporting spacecraft development, integration, testing, or flight programs.
- Demonstrated ownership of EGSE design and operation for aerospace or spacecraft systems.
- Strong hands‑on experience with powered spacecraft testing, Flat Sat, or HITL environments.
- Deep familiarity with spacecraft power systems, avionics, and data/networking protocols.
- Experience with scripting (Python, Bash, Lua, or similar) for test automation.
- Proficiency with engineering tools such as Altium, Solid Works, Linux, and data‑bus analyzers.
- Ability to work independently in a fast‑moving, iterative hardware development environment.
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering, or related technical field (MS preferred).
- Experience with RF systems and RF test environments.
- Knowledge of solar array simulators or spacecraft power system testing.
- Experience building hardware for HITL or Flat Sat setups.
- Familiarity with ground software development (Python,
C) for automation tools.
