We are seeking a Production Planner in our Broomfield, CO location. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Planner to manage the material required for key quantum hardware development labs and projects. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring material availability and production planning while optimizing costs and supporting overall project success. You will collaborate closely with scientists, engineers, procurement teams, and program managers to streamline materials planning and logistics for cutting‑edge quantum technology initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor status of milestones for subsystem build/delivery dates and actioning risk to the project.
- Manage and coordinate utilizing SAP Production Planning, Project Systems and Material Management Modules including MRP and production order management.
- Coordination of material for low volume new development sub system builds in an R&D lab environment.
- Expedite part shortages through Procurement organization and other supporting internal operations, maintain a detailed part shortage list, identify and resolve potential issues.
- Monitor inventory level of materials in stockroom and lab environments to prevent stockouts while minimizing excess and obsolescence.
- Understand supply chain risks and develop hardware delivery re‑commitments (recovery plans) for engineering design changes. Track Change Control to ensure effectivity / disposition of existing items and retirement / reallocation of capital assets.
- Maintain accurate records of materials for asset tracking and timely capitalization. Conduct regular asset audits to reconcile discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Bachelors Degree minimum
- Minimum 5 years Production Planning, Control and Coordination in new development high‑tech manufacturing, aerospace, semiconductors, or related industries.
- Due to Contractual requirements, must be a U.S. Person defined as, U.S. citizen permanent resident, or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status.
- Due to national security requirements imposed by the U.S. Government, candidates for this position must not be a People's Republic of China national or Russian national unless the candidate is also a U.S. citizen.
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of material management principles and practices
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and materials tracking methodologies
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Experience with R&D driven environment and processes
- Strong project management skills with the ability to balance immediate execution with long‑term process improvement
Non‑Incentive Eligible. The pay range for this role is $108,000 - $135,000 annually. Actual compensation within this range may vary based on candidate’s skills, educational background, professional experience, and unique qualifications for the role.
