Senior Manufacturing Engineer at Mac Lean‑Fogg. Responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing industrial manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production, high‑quality products, and alignment with organizational goals. Utilizes advanced knowledge of product design, materials, tooling, production equipment, and quality standards to drive continuous improvement, process innovation, and lead cross‑functional teams.
Key Details- Work Location: Onsite - Whitewater, Wisconsin
- Travel: 10%
- Pay Range: Competitive
- Position Type: Full‑Time, Exempt (Salaried)
- Develop, evaluate, and implement manufacturing methods to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
- Analyze and optimize workforce utilization, production workflows, space utilization, and equipment layout.
- Estimate production times, staffing, and costs to inform management decision‑making.
- Lead development of production schedules aligned with operational goals.
- Work with vendors to define specifications and procure materials, tooling, and equipment.
- Assess products and processes against quality standards and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain detailed documentation of processes, engineering changes, and project progress.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, cost‑reduction strategies, and innovative solutions.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality policies, including 5S principles.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic to intermediate understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, tooling, and equipment.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving.
- Ability to estimate production times, manage tasks, and support planning efforts.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, balancing priorities.
- Strong attention to detail for documentation and quality evaluations.
- Eagerness to contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience: 4‑6 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering.
