We are seeking a Materials & Structures Engineer who will own thermo-structural design and fabrication of propulsion components subjected to extreme envirnonments.

Base pay range$/yr - $/yr
Responsibilities- Design and analyze structures exposed to 3000F+ environments
- Develop nozzle and combustor liners using novel materials
- Conduct thermal/structural FEA for heat soak-back, creep and fatigue
- Work with additive manufacturing vendors
- Evaluate coatings, ablatives, and insulation materials
- Support fabrication, inspection and failure analysis
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering or similar
- 5+ years experience with high-temperature composites or hypersonic structures
- Proficiency with ANSYS, ABAQUS, or COMSOL
- Experience with propulsion components
- Master's degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Experience with silica phenolic manufacturing and/or other SRM insulation manufacturing processes.
- Experience designing for solid rocket or air-breathing propulsion
