ResponsibilitiesTrainee Responsibilities
Game Knowledge and Rules- Learn rules of multiple table games:
- Master the mechanics of betting options, and outcomes for all casino table games covered in training (e.g. blackjack, 3 card porker, roulette etc.). Training curricula focus on teaching each game's rules and procedures.
- Understand bets and payouts:
Study common wager types and payoff calculations so you can quickly verify winning hands and amounts during practice games.
- Develop strong math skills to total bets and payoffs accurately
- Dealing Techniques and Table Practice
- Master dealing actions:
Drill core dealing skills such as shuffling and dealing cards, cutting the deck, distributing and stacking chips, and collecting bets. - Training emphasizes chip handling precision (identifying chip colors/values, counting be amounts) and card-handling techniques, (dealing and placement) with speed and accuracy.
- Follow gaming rules and laws. Study all state and casino regulations taught in class.
- Maintain game integrity.
- Master dealing actions:
- Monitor for and avoid any mistakes or unfair play.
- Learn anti-cheating procedures (both for the dealer's and casino perspective) and immediately report any irregularities or rule violations to instructors.
- Learn how to greet and engage players
Applicants must be 18 or older and be able to obtain a Colorado Support Gaming license.
