Provide front‑line cashier services for casino operations, ensuring accurate handling of large sums of money and maintaining compliance with state gaming regulations.
EssentialJob Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Ensure regular and reliable attendance; be punctual and consistently present during scheduled hours.
- Maintain uniform, including name tag and gaming license.
- Provide cashier services to guests: change for slot machines, cash checks, prepare fills and jackpots, check banks and keys in/out, add money to safe, prepare deposits, count and bundle cash, and balance the bank.
- Receive, secure, handle, count, reconcile, and distribute large sums of money accurately and promptly.
- Operate machines to count and wrap coins and cash.
- Perform responsibilities in compliance with the Colorado Limited Gaming Act, Internal Control Minimum Procedures, internal policies and procedures, and Colorado Limited Gaming Regulations.
- Complete required casino forms for slot jackpot fill slips and follow set procedures for re‑filling.
- Assist in providing excellent customer service to all guests through various activities.
- Maintain alertness and general awareness of casino operations; keep supervisor informed of concerns; verify customers are 21 years or older.
- Comply with established security policies and procedures; inform supervisor and/or security personnel of any concerns.
- Act as backup to cage and cashiering staff when necessary.
- Perform other duties, including special projects, as needed and directed.
Demonstrated knowledge of casino operations, gaming rules and regulations. Proven experience receiving, securing, handling, counting, reconciling, and distributing large sums of money quickly and accurately. Effective and diplomatic customer service and communication skills.
Education and/or ExperienceHigh school graduation or equivalent. One (1) or more years of recent and related experience as a cashier, preferably within a gaming environment.
Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsMust have a valid and current State of Colorado Gaming License. Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
Other Skills/AbilitiesDemonstrated ability performing basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Physical DemandsEssential duties involve performing physical exertion including frequent brisk walking, climbing stairs, stooping, bending, stretching, reaching, pushing, and standing for an entire work shift with standard breaks. Essential duties require lifting up to 30 pounds and working a standard workweek with additional hours occasionally required.
Compensation And Benefits$22.00+ an hour.
