- Overtime Rate: $108/hour (applies after 40 hours per week)
Job Description:
This key management position is responsible for leading an effective, sustainable, data-driven, facility-wide Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program. The QAPI and Risk Manager maintains a quality infrastructure that includes developing and implementing decision tools, clinical processes and guidelines, care management programs, and outcome measurement assessments. This role leads both the Quality Council and the Performance Improvement Committee. The QAPI and Risk Manager ensures that Pagosa Springs Medical Center fully participates in federal and state regulatory quality programs.
The manager also participates in external committees and meetings to build critical relationships with community and professional resources.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to analyze situations and develop creative solutions to complex healthcare challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overall management of assigned departments, including but not limited to:
- Quality Assurance
- Performance Improvement
- Oversight of effective day-to-day operations within assigned departments.
- Development and implementation of processes to improve clinical care for appropriate patient populations.
- Managing departmental staff and resources.
- Implementing new services and programs as directed by leadership.
- Ensuring effective fiscal management of assigned departments.
- Coordinating and collaborating with medical staff, other managers, leaders, and staff.
- Participating in hospital-wide problem solving, information sharing, and joint initiatives.
- Recommending and implementing innovative organizational processes that support safe and effective patient care and improve patient outcomes.
