Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – Locum Tenens Travel Nursing Job in Del Norte, Colorado

  Del Norte, Colorado 81132 (Southern Colorado healthcare jobs)
• Assignment Length: 13-week contract (October 6, 2025 – January 5, 2026)
• Healthcare Setting:
  Acute Care, Med/Surg Telemetry Unit
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (18:00 – 06:00), 3 shifts per week
• Total
  
  Hours:
  
  36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1820 - $1870
• Call Requirement: 2 days per month (must be within 1 hour for call)
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Orientation: 24 hours

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Colorado or compact state)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Proficient in MS/Tele, Cardiac Telemetry, and general Telemetry units
• Experience with Pyxis medication system and Amrita documentation system preferred
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• First-time travel nurses are encouraged to apply

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care to adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics in an acute care setting
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and blood products, manage central and peripheral lines, and perform wound care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and interpretation services
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond promptly to unit needs
• Accurately document patient care using the Amrita electronic health record system
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection control, and safety standards
