Medical Assistant Specialty Clinic
- Full-time day position, Working 4/10's or 5/8's per week.
Full-time benefits are the following:

Requirements- High school diploma or GED
- Graduated from an accredited program for a medical assistant, certified nurse assistant, or emergency medical technician.
- Current certification: CMA, CNA, or EMT
- Current BLS/CRP certification from AHA
- At least one (1) year of experience in a clinic setting, preferably in a specialty practice.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Experience with electronic medical records
- Ability to work in a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bilingual in English and Spanish, preferred
- Proficient knowledge of medical terminology, ICD and CPT codes.
- Comfortable speaking on the phone and working in a fast‑paced environment
- Very comfortable asking probing questions to patients
- Multitasking and a proactive problem solver
- A high level of professionalism
- Prepares daily exam rooms in the clinical area for patient care, including stocking all necessary supplies.
- Triage patient calls for pharmacy requests, test results, medical questions, and concerns as directed by the physician; document outcomes in EHR.
- Maintains patient documentation and communicates care plan with provider, including ordered diagnostics or therapeutic services.
- Ensures cleanliness, adequate stock of supplies, and functioning equipment in examination rooms. Replaces supplies depleted daily. Cleans and sterilizes equipment and tools. Completes shift opening and closing procedures.
- Assists providers and other clinical staff with examinations, procedures, and other processes related to direct patient care.
- Will perform blood draws as per the direction of the provider
- Administers all forms of medications per policy and provider direction and adheres to all safety protocols and procedures for medication administration.
- Participating in frequent interactions with patients regarding all levels of concerns and questions.
- Executing duties with a willingness to help others who are in need.
- Schedules/Reschedules follow‑up patient appointments.
- Responsible for performing routine medical procedures as ordered by treating clinicians, as well as triaging emergent patients as needed
- Perform front office duties: greet patients, obtain authorization, check in/out, communicate wait times, answer multi‑line telephone system, and distribute employer results/paperwork as needed.
- Assist the provider with in‑clinic procedures (wound care, injections, and cystoscopy).
- Helping in the family health clinic as needed.
