Salary: $90,000 – $109,395 annually

Job Overview

Full‑time, full‑exempt position with a benefit package including medical, dental, vision coverage, pension, and AD&D insurance. Annual salary begins at $90,000. The position is only open to U.S. citizens; no work‑visa sponsorship is provided.

Qualifications & Certifications
  • Age 21 or older
  • U.S. citizenship
  • High School graduate or GED
  • Valid Colorado driver’s license (obtain within 30 days of hire)
  • Ability to read and speak English; 20/20 vision with corrective lenses
  • Certified Firefighter II (Colorado or nationally recognized certifications)
  • Certified Fire Instructor 1*
  • Certified Fire Officer 1*
  • Hazmat Operations
  • Driver Operator/Aerial**
  • Colorado or National Register EMT‑Basic***
  • NIMS 100, 200, 300*, 700, 800
  • NWCG 130/190/L‑180 with Red Card
  • NWCG FFT1/ICT5*
  • Work Capacity Test at the Arduous Level (Pack Test) – must obtain within 18 months of hire
  • Driver Operator/Aerial certification – must obtain within 6 months of hire
  • EMT‑Basic certification – internal EFR applicants must obtain within 6 months of hire; external candidates must have certification at the time of hire
Experience & Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent (additional education/training in firefighting or emergency services preferred)
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to pass physical agility tests, medical examinations, and background checks
  • Valid CPAT at time of application and current at hire
  • Valid FireTEAM test score within 12 months prior to application
  • Strong decision‑making skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills and teamwork aptitude
Compliance & Policies
  • Use of medicinal or recreational marijuana is not permitted
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States required
