Radiologic Technologist / CT Tech
Join a hospital imaging team as a Travel CT Technologist in scenic Salida, Colorado. This 13-week travel contract is ideal for an ARRT-registered Radiologic Technologist with CT experience who delivers high-quality diagnostic imaging and compassionate patient care across hospital departments.
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,140–$2,290
- Start Date: October 28, 2026
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
- Schedule: Training on day shifts, followed by overnight shifts from 7:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.; four nights one week and three nights the next, scheduled Wednesday–Saturday or Thursday–Saturday
- Call: No call required
Job Requirements
- Completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program
- Current ARRT (R)(CT) registration or equivalent CT credential
- At least 2 years of CT technologist experience
- Demonstrated competency performing CT scans and general radiographic examinations
- Ability to work independently during overnight hospital shifts
- Strong commitment to patient safety, radiation safety, image quality, and professional patient care
- Perform CT scans and radiographic examinations accurately and professionally as ordered by physicians and interpreted by radiologists.
- Select appropriate imaging protocols and technical factors while following ALARA principles for adult and pediatric patients.
- Position and transfer patients safely to obtain high-quality diagnostic images, adapting care for trauma, pregnancy, illness, age-related needs, and mobility limitations.
- Properly shield patients and staff and maintain a safe CT and radiology imaging environment.
- Transport patients to and from the imaging department and assist with transfers from beds or gurneys.
- Verify required consent forms, obtain relevant clinical histories, and communicate allergies or other pertinent information to the physician.
- Complete reaction documentation and examination histories as needed.
- Maintain sterile technique and cleanliness standards to help prevent cross-contamination.
- Perform radiographic procedures in operating rooms, emergency rooms, recovery areas, and patient rooms using portable imaging equipment.
- Follow department procedures and collaborate with the care team to provide efficient, patient-centered diagnostic imaging services.
