Our team is collaborative, mission-driven, and committed to developing sustainable programs that make a meaningful difference in the communities we serve.

About the Role

We're looking for a Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician to join our growing team and support patients served through our TeleROOTS and ROOTS programs.

This position will provide clinical behavioral health services, psychotherapy, substance use treatment, assessment, and treatment planning for individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health needs. The clinician will also serve as a clinical resource for our Certified Addiction Specialist (CAS), providing consultation and accepting cases when a patient's needs extend beyond the CAS's scope of practice.

The ideal candidate is a compassionate, collaborative clinician with experience working with substance use disorders and behavioral health needs. We especially value candidates with a strong background in addiction treatment and are particularly interested in Licensed Addiction Counselors (LACs). We will also consider qualified independently licensed LCSWs, LPCs, and LMFTs with relevant substance use and behavioral health experience.

  • Provide clinical services primarily through telehealth, with in-person services at select TeleROOTS locations.
  • Serve as a clinical resource and consultation partner for the Certified Addiction Specialist.
  • Accept and provide clinical services to cases escalated by the CAS when patient needs extend beyond the CAS's scope of practice.
  • Identify when patients need additional services, specialized treatment, or a higher level of care and make appropriate referrals.
  • Collaborate with addiction medicine providers, CAS staff, peer support specialists, care coordinators, hospitals, and community providers.
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and organizational requirements.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary case consultation, quality improvement, program development, and clinical education.
  • Support the continued development of behavioral health services within TeleROOTS.
  • Perform other duties and projects as needed to support the team and our programs.
