The RoleProtect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of organizational information assets. Support the information security program to ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR and others. Work closely with business functions to identify and mitigate risks, monitor controls, and promote a culture of security awareness.
Job Responsibilities- Security Governance & Compliance
- Develop, implement, and maintain information security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Conduct and document security risk assessments and audits.
- Oversee penetration testing across business functions.
- Participate in compliance activities with frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIS2, and CMMC.
- Coordinate remediation of identified security risks or control gaps.
- Assist in vendor and third‑party risk assessments.
- Security Operations & Monitoring
- Monitor alerts from SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability management systems.
- Investigate potential incidents and support incident response.
- Perform vulnerability scans and assist with patch management.
- Collaborate on overall security compliance.
- Maintain awareness of emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
- Data Protection & Access Management
- Enforce access control policies and user account management.
- Support data classification, encryption, and data loss prevention.
- Ensure secure handling and disposal of sensitive data.
- Awareness & Training
- Conduct or coordinate security awareness and phishing simulation programs.
- Promote a culture of cybersecurity across departments.
- Continuous Improvement
- Evaluate and implement new security tools or processes.
- Participate in post‑incident reviews and lessons learned.
- Provide security input for IT projects during planning and implementation.
- Other
- Continuously evaluate processes for improvements in efficiency, quality, and safety.

- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, cyber security, computer science, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in information security, cyber security, or IT risk management.
- Experience with security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls.
- Familiarity with network security, endpoint protection, identity and access management, and incident response.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Detail‑oriented with a risk‑based decision‑making approach.
- Ability to work collaboratively across technical and non‑technical teams.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Certifications
- CompTIA Security+
- GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC)
Physical Requirements
- Primarily in an office/lab/manufacturing environment—able to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods.
- Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs.

- Competitive base salary range: $85,000 – $130,000
