A law firm seeks a Patent Associate specializing in video/audio processing to join their team in Broomfield, CO. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse client base on national and international matters within the Electrical and Computer Science IP practice area.
Duties- Draft and prosecute patent applications.
- Collaborate with clients and team members on IP strategies.
- Conduct patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses.
- Provide technical expertise in optics, photonics, and image processing.
- Minimum of 2 years of IP prosecution experience.
- Admission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
- Experience with codecs, virtual/augmented reality, and AI preferred.
- Degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology.
- USPTO admission required.
- Strong advanced mathematics skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency in managing confidential information.
