OBJECTIVE

Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, U.S., the Maintenance Manager is responsible for the continual oversight of the maintenance department and for ensuring the continuous operation of the Colorado facilities, by maintaining, diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • High school diploma
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a related field is preferred
  • Proficient English communication and writing skills;
    Spanish/bilingual a plus

Experience &

Skills:

  • 7-10 years of experience in an industrial maintenance
  • Proven experience in maintenance management, preferably in a food or manufacturing setting.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with staff and upper management effectively.
  • Positive attitude
  • Strong problem-solving ability
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Good knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations
  • Flexibility and willingness to work overtime as required, which may include some evenings and weekends

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute a preventative maintenance program as per schedule on all equipment, buildings, and machinery.
  • Monitor inventory levels of equipment and/or parts.
  • Manage vendors and bid process for required repairs.
  • Create and implement maintenance procedures and schedules to ensure efficient operation of equipment and facilities.
  • Conduct regular diagnostic checks, inspections, troubleshooting, and repair for all equipment, plant wide (mechanical, electrical and programmable logic controllers) facilities to identify issues and implement preventive maintenance measures to avoid breakdowns.
  • Perform general building maintenance.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and standards, OSHA, promoting a safe working environment as well as company policies, and procedures.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution of issues to minimize downtime.
  • Lead and coordinate the work of maintenance staff, assigning tasks and providing guidance to ensure effective performance.
  • Operate within the maintenance budget.
  • Other duties as required by the Director of Operations.
  • Work Environment

    The role requires a combination of office work and fieldwork, with some travel necessary for facility inspections.
