The Role
The Safety Manager is responsible for implementing and managing the company's Safety Program. This role is a subject matter expert regarding jobsite safety requirements and associated tools and processes. The Safety Manager reviews and engages team members onsite, ensuring proper preparedness and execution of safety protocols and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides leadership and support to Craft in Daily Plan Preparation (DPP) and Operational Activity Trainings (OAT) engagement.
- Reviews all work activities on site during their shift to promote safe work practices and appropriate PPE usage.
- Completes all necessary internal and external safety-related documentation and paperwork.
- Completes multiple safety observations per week.
Requirements & Preferences
- Capable of walking and traversing a jobsite at all hours.
- CHST/BCSP Certification (or equivalent) with years of experience in a safety lead role.
- Holds OSHA 30 Certification.
- Can lift heavy materials and move equipment throughout a jobsite or equipment/materials yard.
- Willing to work odd hours and overtime as needed.
