Operations Manager
Position Overview
Reporting to the Operations Director for the Residential and Wiring Devices Division (RWDD), the Plant Manager will drive strategic and operational leadership, managing profit and loss, growth strategy, and plant performance for a non-union site with over 400 employees in Las Piedras, Puerto Rico. The role requires close collaboration with the Eaton Assembly site in the Dominican Republic.
Essential Functions- Develop and implement local policies and procedures aligned with Eaton’s values.
- Drive plant profitability through collaboration with Sales, Product Line Strategy Teams, and Cost Out councils.
- Maintain and improve employee relationships for hourly and salaried staff.
- Develop and manage plant profit plan and departmental budgets.
- Develop and implement capital plans to support manufacturing strategy.
- Monitor product quality levels and introduce improvement programs.
- Direct implementation of new product lines and cost estimating.
- Lead R&D initiatives to keep manufacturing abreast of latest technology.
- Facilitate risk assessment and establish EHS targets and objectives.
- Minimum ten (10) years of progressive manufacturing, supply chain, finance, OPEX or related support functions.
- Lean Six Sigma and/or continuous improvement experience.
- Three (3) years of managerial experience.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
- Effectively drives and manages change, challenges status quo.
- Demonstrates professional presence and confident communication.
- Leverages functional and cross‑functional resources to solve problems.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Provides confident leadership in changing environments.
- Undergraduate degree required;
Master’s degree preferred.
Eaton will create a compelling package with base salary, incentive compensation, and benefits. Expected annual salary range: $169,000 – $248,000. Variable incentive program also offered.
