ABOUT THE ROLE
Conducts, maintains, tests, and repairs electrical/electronic, environmental, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components. Applies knowledge of electrical/electronics and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and restores equipment to operation and new installations. Provides skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas of the plant.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH- Demonstrated knowledge and skill set of the industrial electrical field including understanding of electrical units of measure, AC/DC voltage characteristics, basic circuits, voltage/current/amperage checks, and interpreting wiring diagrams.
- Knowledge of plant operations including safety lockout procedures, equipment interlocks, process/material flow, HAC numbering system, and functions of major equipment.
- Demonstrated troubleshooting skills for industrial electrical equipment.
- Proven effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of hand tool usage & safety.
- Demonstrated leadership and self‑direction/motivation.
- Willing to work weekends, night shifts, and call‑outs as needed.
- Able to procure required tools for the position within three months of job transfer.
- Must be able to successfully pass the prerequisite electrical examination.

Additional Education Preferred: Associate’s/Technical degree in an electrical or a related field

Work Experience:
1–3 years of electrical experience in a manufacturing environment
Required Technical
Skills:
Knowledge of processing methods and appropriate planning techniques; proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Travel Requirements: Local travel
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and mechanical maintenance background; welding experience desired.
- Ability to work well on their own and in a team environment.
- Experience in operating heavy equipment.
- Candidate must be flexible regarding work schedule.
- Knowledge of cement, the construction industry and integrated computer systems an asset.
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved PPE, including respirators. Employees required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face to pass the fit test.
