Production Technician I – Particle Measuring Systems

Entry‑level technician performing basic assembly, test support, and introductory calibration tasks under close supervision. Focuses on learning core PMS processes and tools.

• Perform basic mechanical, electrical, electronic, and/or optical assembly tasks
• Assist with routine test procedures and basic calibration tasks under supervision
• Support preliminary troubleshooting by identifying symptoms and escalating issues
• Use basic electrical test equipment with guidance
• Handle PCB assemblies following ESD procedures
• Follow written, graphic, and pictorial work instructions
• Support standard procedures and process flow
• Support prototype or engineering builds
• Maintain quality documentation and follow system requirements
• Participate in inventory, material handling, and cross‑functional teamwork
• Assist technicians and engineers in troubleshooting and test set‑ups
• Follow all safety, ESD, and operational procedures
• Identify and report waste or process issues
• Support approved continuous improvement activities
• Other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 0–1 year of experience in manufacturing, electronics, or assembly preferred
• Preferred:
  Coursework in electronics, photonics, mechatronics, or related vocational training
• Basic understanding of electronics and ability to use hand tools and test equipment
• Ability to read and follow written, graphic, and pictorial work instructions
• Familiarity with ESD‑safe handling practices
• Basic mechanical and electrical assembly skills
• Demonstrated problem‑solving, communication, teamwork, and willingness to learn
• Basic Microsoft Office skills
• Strong customer‑focused mindset
• Preferred:
  Familiarity with ERP systems

This role operates in an office, laboratory, and/or manufacturing environment.

• Ability to sit, stand, or use a computer for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds several times per day

PMS offers competitive compensation based on local, national, and industry‑specific market data. Pay Range: $23–26/hr.
