Position Summary

Supervise operational activities to include Asphalt plant production, Asphalt plant maintenance, and mobile equipment in one of our plants.

Responsibilities

* Responsible for training and development of team, scheduling, performance management, and effective leadership of hourly workforce

* Successfully lead the Company's safety initiatives

* Working knowledge and understanding of OSHA regulations and possess a strong personal commitment to safety

* Implement environmental processes and regulations

* Successfully lead and manage to established production, safety, and environmental objectives and metrics

* Participate in yearly planning of asphalt plant production, plant maintenance and salary costs to meet budget goals

* Manage parts and supply inventory

* Effectively work with vendors and subcontractors planning plant maintenance and repair activities

* Other duties as assigned

Requirements

* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience preferred

* 2+ years' experience in industry preferred

* Minimum 1-year supervisory experience in a mining environment preferred

* Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

* Proficient on PC to include MS Office suite

* Ability to work flexible schedule as required; including nights and weekends

* Bilingual in Spanish a plus

We are excited to share the base hourly rate for this position is $38+. Membership with the International Union of Operating Engineers Local Union No, 9 is required upon hire. Condition and terms of employment and benefits are in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.
