The role of the Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner is to provide medical health services to patients of the clinic, according to established clinic protocols. Participate and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver comprehensive integrated health care services. Consult with staff as necessary regarding clinical interventions for achieving quality patient outcomes. Duties will be tied to the privilege granted to the practitioner by the medical staff.
QualificationsOur ideal candidate for our Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner position will have formal training in area of specialization, experience in area of practice is also desirable or required dependent on individual and sponsoring physician.
NP/PA (Registered Nurse State of Colorado and Certified Nurse Practitioner in State of Colorado, DEA licensure and Prescriptive Authority, ACLS Certification, National Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification when applicable).

Salary: $109,990 - $131,997 annualized and considers preferred experience.

Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. The role requires walking, sitting, standing or kneeling, and occasional climbing or balancing. Ability to sit for long periods at a computer. Travel between Axis Health System locations. Possible exposure to communicable diseases. Expect a moderate noise level. Follow confidentiality and security rules.
- Perform history and physical exams, order/interpret diagnostics, and develop treatment plans including medications and other interventions.
- Work closely with physicians and clinic personnel; consult with physicians regarding referrals or higher-level evaluation.
- Operate standard office equipment; maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers.
- Proficient with EMR and related systems; organize and prioritize workload in a dynamic environment.
- Current driver’s license and ability to be commercially insured with insurable driving record.
- Follow universal precautions and report potential exposure to disease.
- Independent judgment and action; prescribe and manage psychotropic medications.
- Familiar with co-morbid substance use/abuse disorders and ASAM levels of care; contribute to integrated health care model and clinic protocols.
Annual Flu immunization, Annual TB screening on hire, de-escalation training within 90 days, BLS PRO certification on hire.
