We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a 6-day locum tenens assignment in Colorado. This opportunity begins on Jan 11, 2026, and features 24‑hour on‑site shifts (typically 12‑15 hours plus night call). The provider will manage admits and rounding, and must be comfortable serving as the sole provider with telemedicine and trauma backup available.

• Schedule:
  
  24‑hour shifts on site (typically 12‑15 hour shift plus night call); shifts run 12pm to 12pm; last day handoff can occur between 12pm and 3pm

• Serve as the sole provider in the emergency department, managing all aspects of patient care
• Perform admissions and rounding
• Conduct procedures including intubations, vent management, central lines, chest tubes, paracentesis, thoracentesis, dislocation reduction, ED bedside ultrasound, lumbar puncture, adult and pediatric resuscitation, and procedural sedation
• Coordinate with Avel E-Care telemedicine for consults, transfers, and trauma support
• Work collaboratively with on‑site flight team and EMS
• Maintain communication with an MD within a 20‑minute radius for trauma backup

• Active Colorado Nurse Practitioner license required
• Board certification in Emergency Medicine required
• Must be comfortable performing advanced procedures independently
