Nurse Manager Broad Statement of Responsibilities The Nurse Manager provides leadership and oversight for all nursing operations at All Points North Lodge. This position ensures the delivery of safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care while maintaining a cohesive and efficient nursing team. The Nurse Manager is responsible for developing departmental goals, maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations, managing department budgets, and fostering a culture of clinical excellence and collaboration.
The ideal candidate is an experienced nursing leader with a strong background in mental health or addiction treatment, excellent organizational and communication skills, and a deep understanding of behavioral healthcare policies and best practices.

Education & Experience- Previous experience in addiction or mental health nursing required.
- Certified in CPR and other relevant nursing certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing leadership experience as a Nurse Supervisor or Nurse Manager.
- 3–5 years of acute care experience required.
Candidates should have the following skills and attributes: must be able to work and communicate well with people; be adaptable and accept changes quickly and easily; be willing to address conflict appropriately. Basic computer skills are required with Microsoft Office Suite and web-based products knowledge a bonus.
- Exceptional leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Skilled in staff development, performance management, and interdepartmental collaboration.

Include but are not limited to:
Leadership and Administration
- Direct and manage all nursing operations at APN Lodge.
- Develop short- and long-term departmental goals aligned with organizational objectives.
- Establish, implement, and update nursing policies and procedures to maintain compliance and improve patient care standards.
- Oversee nursing budgets and ensure effective resource utilization.
- Collaborate with the Medical Director and other department heads to promote interdisciplinary care and facility efficiency.
- Maintain accurate record-keeping and ensure timely documentation of all nursing activities.
Staff Management and Development
- Recruit, hire, and onboard new nursing staff.
- Create and implement staff training and continuing education plans.
- Conduct regular staff performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Facilitate monthly nursing meetings to discuss goals, updates, and quality improvements.
Patient Care and Clinical Excellence
- Oversee nursing and patient care processes, emphasizing safety and quality.
- Ensure adherence to evidence-based practices and foster a culture of clinical excellence.
- Respond to nursing-related issues promptly and appropriately.
- Educate both patients and staff on treatment protocols related to mental health, trauma, and addiction.
- Promote preventative care, health education, and disease management initiatives.
Compliance and Safety
- Serve as Infection Control Manager for APN Lodge.
- Ensure nursing operations adhere to all state, federal, and accreditation standards.
- Provide clinical oversight and consultation for staff regarding physical health concerns.
- Uphold high moral and ethical standards.
- Exhibit flexibility, adaptability, and sound judgment.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
