Quality Assurance Manager

Quality Assurance Manager leads continuous improvement of the quality management system for a growing manufacturer in the wire, cable, and connector industry. Owns audits, documentation, corrective actions, and customer and supplier quality, while staying hands-on on the production floor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct daily quality operations, setting priorities, standards, and deadlines.
• Maintain the Quality Manual, procedures, and all QC documentation; prepare for and lead ISO 9001/AS9100 audits and management reviews.
• Serve as quality point of contact for customers, suppliers, and external auditors.
• Review sales orders, purchase orders, QA clauses, and specifications.
• Lead root cause analysis, corrective actions, and failure analysis, including customer returns, SCARs, and Material Review Board dispositions.
• Support design reviews and new product introduction with test procedures and documentation.
• Control drawings and specifications; oversee calibration of quality equipment.
• Inspect and test materials and products against specifications, and interpret results for release.
• Maintain the training and skills matrix and train manufacturing staff.
• Travel to customer and supplier sites, domestic and international, about 10% of the time.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
• 5-10 years of quality or manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read drawings, specifications, and acceptance test procedures.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills, and comfort in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Preferred

Skills:

• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 (AS9100 preferred).
• Connector or wire and cable industry experience preferred.
