Prep​/Line Cook Mojo's Eatery

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. As a Prep Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for preparing ingredients, assisting with meal preparation, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. This position is ideal for individuals with a passion for cooking and a desire to contribute to a dynamic food service environment.

• Prepare and chop ingredients according to recipes and menu specifications
• Assist in the cooking process by preparing meals under the guidance of the head chef or kitchen manager
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper food storage and sanitation practices
• Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all dishes are prepared safely and hygienically
• Support menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours
• Handle food items with care, ensuring proper food handling techniques are followed
• Participate in catering events as needed, assisting with meal preparation and serving

• Previous experience in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred
• Familiarity with menu planning, food preparation, and cooking techniques is essential
• Experience in the food service industry or restaurant environment is advantageous
• Strong knife skills and knowledge of various cooking methods are required
• Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in the culinary field is necessary
• Previous catering experience is a plus, along with general kitchen experience
• Line cook / pre cook: 1 year (Required)
• Day Shift (Preferred)
