. The Tower Foreman oversees wireless tower construction and maintenance at assigned sites. This hands‑on leader coordinates resources, mentors technicians, and ensures job sites operate safely and efficiently.
$33.00/hr – $40.00/hr
Responsibilities- Supervise daily activities of tower crews, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity on all projects.
- Climb and perform work on communication towers and elevated structures up to 500 feet.
- Lead the installation, testing, and maintenance of antennas, radios, and cable systems.
- Interpret construction documents and RF specifications; ensure accurate installation per scope.
- Manage job site logistics, materials, schedules, and documentation.
- Perform advanced testing and troubleshooting (fiber, sweep, PIM). Inspect rigging, hoisting, and climbing equipment.
- Conduct quality assurance checks and ensure work meets customer and company standards.
- Track on‑site inventory and materials; refresh supplies as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site; handle tools, materials, and waste properly.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate tower technicians at all levels.
- Travel regularly to job sites; overnight stays may be required.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma, GED, or related trade school education.
- Five years of experience in wireless tower construction or field services.
- Two years of supervisory or leadership experience.
- Competent Climber/Rescue certification and OSHA 30 construction training.
- First Aid and CPR certification;
Competent rigging and hoisting certification. - Proficient in tower climbing, rigging, antenna installation, and advanced testing.
- Computer and Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Strong leadership, decision‑making, and team‑building skills.
- Detail oriented with focus on safety, quality, and accountability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Pass pre‑employment screening (background and drug testing).
- Valid driver’s license; driving record meets company requirements.
- Climb vertically and pull own body weight up to 500 feet; work at heights for extended periods.
- Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds regularly; stand, walk, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
- Work long hours in outdoor environments, extreme weather conditions.
- Wear required PPE (fall protection harness, hard hat, safety glasses, gloves).
- Travel away from home up to 75% of the time; weekend and extended travel.
