Job DescriptionOur team is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join our crew in the Yard R&M (Repair and Maintenance) Department. A good candidate for the role would be goal-oriented, motivated, and skilled in vehicle maintenance and repairs.
Job Responsibilities- Inspect vehicles/machinery in need of repairs and maintenance
- Adhere by all OSHA safety rules and regulations regarding shop operations and safety
- Perform daily housekeeping duties of the shop and upkeep all feedyard facilities
- Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to a fast-paced work environment
- Work directly with the Yard R&M manager on maintenance projects and tasks
- Other duties as assigned
- Stand for 8-10 hours a day
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Physical requirements will include standing, walking, lifting, bending, kneeling, shoveling, working equipment, and handling livestock
- Work Environment:
Considerable exposure to weather such as rain, sleet, snow, hail, heat, cold, wind, dust, and daily close proximity to livestock
- High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years of mechanical experience (preferred)
- Welding experience is a plus
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt
- Team player with the ability to communicate effectively with others
- Full-time position
- Hourly pay based on experience and skills
