Job DescriptionMake a meaningful difference in the lives of students as a School Social Worker on a full-time contract for the school year. This role offers the opportunity to support and empower young learners social, emotional, and behavioral growth while collaborating with educators and families. The assignment is based at an Education and Administration Center, providing a central hub for multi-school impact and professional engagement.
Key
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Social Work (MSW)
- State licensure/certification as a School Social Worker
- Experience in school-based or child/adolescent social work preferred
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse student populations
- Familiarity with Individualized Education Program (IEP) processes and behavioral intervention strategies
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect social/emotional support services to students referred for assistance
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to identify student needs and promote positive outcomes
- Conduct assessments, create intervention plans, and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings
- Participate in crisis intervention and prevention initiatives within the assigned EAC setting
- Provide counseling, skill-building, and resource navigation for students and their families
- Maintain thorough documentation and comply with all state, district, and ethical guidelines
