Position: Transloader - CAB2
Location: Bennett

Responsibilities

  • Outbound and inbound inventory receiving, etc.
  • Complete damage reports, product, wrapping, pallet, bundle, crate, etc.
  • Safely and timely prepare and load products for transport.
  • Safely and timely stage products for loading.
  • Safely and timely load products onto truck, and/or railcar.
  • Responsible for quality control - damaged products.
  • Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
  • Operate sit down forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Perform daily forklift safety checks, preventive maintenance and report any issues.
  • Communicate with team members and supervisors.
  • Keep clean and maintain work area.
  • Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
  • Facilitate the loading from railcars into tank trucks:
    This involves ensuring the safe and efficient transfer of bulk liquid products from railcars to tank trucks.
  • Physical requirements:

    The role involves lifting, carrying, and working in various positions to perform vehicle inspections and load/unload cargo. This includes hoses, dunnage, etc.
  • Applicant must be able to work at heights above 4 ft and don the appropriate fall protection PPE.
  • Applicants must be able to be certified to wear a respirator and meet all requirements of the respiratory program.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements of a successful Transload Operator
  • Read, write, and understand English
  • Basic math skills
  • Computer skills (light data entry)
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Capable to learn how to operate and maintain railcar/trans loading equipment (e.g., Hoses, portable conveyors, transfer pumps, portable stair systems, small to medium sized equipment, etc.)
  • Ability and willingness to travel to other transload terminals to assist when necessary
Physical requirements
  • Physically able to climb up and down railcars/ladders safely
  • Willing to receive general safety training
  • Ability to work outside in ALL weather conditions (snow, rain, sub-freezing temps)
  • Willing to work with liquid hazardous and dry bulk materials
  • Can carry at least fifty (50) pounds
  • In good physical condition (able to walk one (1) to two (2) miles per shift)

The applicant selected for this position may be required to successfully complete a background check and drug test. Passing results must be received prior to start date in new position. Background check may include the following:
Credit History, Criminal History, Driver License Record History, Education Credentials, Employment History, Reference Checks and Professional License or Certification review relevant to the position.
