Emergency Care Technician – Parkview Health
Under the direction of a licensed Nurse and with respect for human dignity, the Emergency Care Technician delivers a variety of high quality, basic patient care services that meet the needs and uniqueness of assigned patients. The Technician is responsible for the delivery of quality care and service excellence; and adheres to the PH Standards of Behavior.
Responsibilities• Deliver basic patient care services meeting the needs of assigned patients.
• Maintain quality care and service excellence.
• Adhere to Parkview Health Standards of Behavior.
- Required Education
:
High School Diploma or GED. If a candidate is at least 17 years of age but does not have a current High School diploma or GED, they must be actively working towards the diploma or GED and receive it within 2 years of hire. - Licensure
:
Must obtain CPR certification within 60 days of hire. CNA/EMT/Paramedic certification preferred. - Experience
:
Minimum of 1 year experience working in a patient care setting preferred. - Other Qualifications
:
Must demonstrate a working knowledge of general computer skills and applications. Demonstrates ability to multi-task and work independently using critical thinking skills. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
