Summary
Sets up and operates cell manufacturing and test equipment to produce the final product. Inspects parts for quality, performs standard work and uses process control methods to complete the manufacturing process. Performs routine preventative maintenance on tools and equipment. Reads and interprets all process documents, follows detailed procedures and maintains applicable records. Assists in training new associates on standard processes within manufacturing, changeovers and inspection.
Communicates cell production issues to the Production Team Leader and/or other team members. Interfaces with purchasing, engineering, and customer service as needed to deliver product to meet customer expectations. Willingness to work in numerous capacities, ranging from molding, machine operating, assembly, potting, washing, painting, inspecting, and other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Read and interpret diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports to determine material requirements and/or assembly instructions.
- Select, align, and secure tooling, accessories, and materials on machines such as hydraulic presses, burnish/test machines, assembly fixtures, air or electric power tools and magnetizers.
- Enter appropriate settings and adjust and calibrate equipment as needed for the assigned production order.
- Record production and operational data on specified forms or within specified data-tracking systems.
- Perform quality checks on products and parts; verify dimensions and alignment of assembly using measuring instruments such as micrometers and height gauges.
- Rotate through all tasks required in a particular production process.
- Work at a variety of workstations and areas with other associates as required to meet customer needs.
- Explain assembly procedures or techniques to other associates.
- Maintain an orderly, safe, and clean workplace.

High School Diploma or GED is preferred. Previous industrial assembly background is preferred, but not required. A verifiable and solid work history is required. Knowledge of gauging processes is a plus.

The ability to read and interpret documents such as general business periodicals, safety rules, quality instruction and process documentation, operating and maintenance instructions, technical and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports, productivity charts, and production correspondences.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to apply concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning AbilityThe ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong and/or apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
