CNC Mill Setup Machinist

Pay: $24–$34/hr, based on experience Shift: 1st Shift Job Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire

Our client produces high-quality components for the medical device industry and is looking for machinists of varying skill levels, from experienced CNC operators ready to learn setups to seasoned setup machinists. • Set up CNC mills, including tooling, fixtures, and offsets.
• Read blueprints and interpret GD&T specifications.
• Load, edit, and adjust CNC programs as needed.
• Perform first-piece inspections and maintain tight tolerances.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments to ensure quality.
• Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.

• 1–2 years of CNC machining experience required.
• Previous setup experience preferred; training available for experienced operators.
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools.
• Experience with Fanuc, Haas, or Hurco controls is a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

  $24–$26/hr: CNC operators with some setup exposure.
• $26–$30/hr:
  Experienced machinists who can perform setups independently.
• $30–$34/hr:
  Advanced setup machinists with multi-axis and programming experience.
