Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM

Pro Resources is seeking a highly skilled Upfit Mechanic for a DIRECT HIRE opportunity with one of our trusted clients in Columbia City, IN. If you have a strong mechanical background, experience with truck equipment installation, and take pride in doing quality work that lasts, this is your chance to be part of a team that values craftsmanship, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Whether you’ve worked as a diesel mechanic, fabrication tech, or in a similar hands-on role, we want to talk to you!

What You’ll Be Doing:

Perform truck and equipment upfits, including fabrication, mechanical assembly, and wiring

Install and troubleshoot hydraulic systems and related components

Complete electrical wiring on trucks and work equipment, ensuring function and compliance with safety standards

MIG weld on steel components, typically ¾” to 1” thick

Interpret work orders, technical drawings, and installation guidelines to complete jobs accurately

Inspect and test installations to ensure everything operates correctly and meets customer expectations

Maintain a clean and safe work area, following company safety procedures

Collaborate with a team of experienced professionals to meet project deadlines

What We’re Looking For:

Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience working on trucks or heavy equipment

Solid understanding of automotive or equipment wiring and hydraulic systems

Experience with MIG welding – fabrication and/or repair experience is a plus

Ability to read and follow blueprints or schematics

A self-starter with a strong work ethic and a “figure-it-out” mindset

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs

Dependable, safety-conscious, and team-oriented
