The Manufacturing Production Technician II plays a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of the manufacturing process. This position is vital to ensuring that production targets are met and that the final products meet quality standards. The role involves a blend of technical skills and a keen eye for detail.
Duties/Responsibilities:- Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions and other work-related documents.
- Performing mechanical and/or electrical assemblies, inspect and test products following written procedures.
- Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.
- Maintains confidentiality in handling sensitive information or documents.
- Maintains all position certifications up to date as required to remain in compliance.
- Working with other members of the line or group in order to assemble products.
- Completes daily work to meet established schedule with guidance from supervisor on prioritization of tasks.
- Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment.
- Sets up and operates a variety of manufacturing equipment following written procedures.
- Solves problems of limited scope and complexity requiring basic interpretation of well-defined procedures and practices.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Ensures compliance with health and safety laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Dexterity and hand-eye coordination including the ability to grasp, manipulate and assemble parts and components that are often very small.
- Ability to check for defects and perform in process inspection.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to clearly communicate with engineering, and technical support.
- Thorough understanding of products and equipment used in manufacturing.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must have a self-starter attitude, taking initiative with each project.
- Excellent time management skills, with proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficient with computers.
- Ability to communicate effectively with peers, managers and across departments.
- Understanding of how to use hand tools (i.e. screwdrivers, wires strippers, crimpers, etc.) power tools (i.e. heat gun, power drill etc.) as well as the ability to read assembly drawings.
- Associates degree or postsecondary certificate in related discipline preferred.
- 2+ years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to lift at least 50lbs
- Prolonged periods of standing in factory and at times, sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Willingness to perform repetitive tasks.
- Must have good eyesight and ability to differentiate between colors.
- Manual dexterity to evaluate, install, and modify equipment.
