POSITION DESCRIPTION
Prodeo Academy, a public charter school network serving the Twin Cities, is a meaningful education solution that is closing the opportunity gap through data-driven instruction in a culture based on a foundation of five core values:
Perseverance, Respect, Integrity, Development, and Engagement. Shared expectations around these values enhance the opportunity for our scholars to reach their full potential. We are looking for team members committed to helping our students access greater opportunities, achieve future success, and contribute to the vitality of our community.
VISION FOR POSITION
This teammate closes the opportunity gap for our students by ensuring that they have the necessary skills and resources to be successful in the classroom, and then stepping in to teach and practice those skills when students present that need. This teammate is keenly aware of all students’ behaviors and intensely focused on each student’s growth. They are committed to responding to behaviors in a loving, structured way that is rooted in trauma-informed, restorative practices and maintains high expectations for behavior and learning.
This teammate must commit to partnering regularly with families to problem solve, with the shared goal of increasing a student’s learning and growth in social-emotional skills and academics. This teammate will report to the Assistant Principal of Special Education and work in close partnership with members of the school leadership, special education, and teaching teams. This opportunity is ideal for someone who is energized by challenging work, hungry for collaboration and feedback, and is able to work across lines of difference with a sensitivity to diversity and inclusiveness.
