Technical Support Analyst I

Location:
Columbia Heights, MN

Duration: 1 year (+ strongly possible extension)

Description
  • Excellent verbal communication skills. Experience with Windows 7 and Office 2010, Outlook, and Mobile Handheld Devices such as iPhone and Android. Resolve client tech issues by troubleshooting and analyzing computer system errors of moderate to difficult scope.
  • Provide remote tech support for hardware (printers, desktops, laptops, drivers, monitors, Mobile Handheld Devices) and software (internally developed apps, productivity tools, OS systems, internet apps, drivers). Interact with escalation resources to resolve complex issues. Recommend supported software and hardware to meet requirements. Maintain knowledge of supported systems and assist with testing new or upgraded software and hardware releases.
Required
  • 1-3 years experience in a Support Center or Call Center environment; 2-4 years in IT support. Certifications preferred but not required, such as A+ or MS Certified Professional from the MCSE track.
Skills
  • Customer service and quality focus, communication, problem-solving, troubleshooting, teamwork, and good prioritization skills. Ability to work logically under pressure, adapt to changing environments, and handle stressful situations.

All new technicians start working from 8 AM to 4:45 PM Monday to Friday for the first 5-8 weeks, then transition to a more permanent shift. Currently, there are 2 second shifts and 8 first shifts available. All shifts are 8 hours long.

Qualifications Technical Requirements
  • Experience with Windows 7, Outlook 2010, remote management tools, VPN, wireless support, Active Directory administration, TCP/IP, and web-based applications. Good sight, hearing, and speech. Ability to use a keyboard and mouse. Ability to lift less than 50 lbs.
