Position: Part Time Over Night Audit

Overview

Join to apply for the Part Time Overnight Audit role at Main Street Abbey | Wedding & Event Venue | Columbia, IL

The Principal Hotel is looking for an overnight auditor to join our team in our new Columbia Illinois location. This position would start as part time with 2-3 days per week. The overnight auditor will greet, check in guests, assist and answer questions from our guests, all while providing a high level of service. During the overnight hours the auditor is responsible for safeguarding the hotel and guests.

You are responsible for auditing the previous day’s receipts to verify and balance entries, run reports and verify accuracy of information.

The ideal candidate will deliver a professional and qualified first impression to all visitors. This person must have excellent communication and customer service skills. He/she has a basic understanding of administrative and clerical procedures/systems and the ability to multitask in a busy environment. You must be comfortable with decision making and being the only one in the hotel during overnight hours.

Responsibilities
  • Guest services – Welcome guests, employees, and clients who arrive at the hotel and clarify the purpose of their visit and assist as necessary. Answer all phone calls and emails. Be readily available at all times to ensure the guest receive top tier service.
  • Administration – Daily reporting and filing documents. File and keeping good records. Maintain clean and organized workstations and be diligent and aware of both current and upcoming events in all areas of the property.
Qualifications
  • Warm and friendly manner in relating to and interacting with the public.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail while handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with handling money, making change, and using office machines in day-to-day activities.
  • Ability to speak and receive direction (written and verbal) in English.
  • Willingness and ability to work alone as scheduled.
