Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Solar Installer to join our team. In this role, you will support worksite operations through manual labor tasks. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, safety protocols, and the ability to work ideal candidate is a hard worker with the ability to meet the physical demands of the job.
Responsibilities
- Install solar panels on rooftops and other structures in accordance with project specifications and safety standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for installation tasks.
- Conduct electrical work including wiring, connecting systems, and ensuring proper voltage levels using voltmeters.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues during installation processes.
- Ensure all installations comply with local codes and regulations regarding high voltage systems.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Assist in the training of new team members on installation techniques and safety practices.
Qualifications
Install solar panels on rooftops in accordance with project plans and safety standards
Perform electrical wiring and connections for solar energy systems
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
Utilize high voltage and low voltage equipment during installations
Conduct fixture installations and ensure proper functionality
Use a voltmeter to test electrical systems
Operate a forklift for material handling as needed
Experience
Experience in solar panel installation is preferred but not required
Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings
Familiarity with electrical systems and components
Ability to work effectively on rooftops for extended periods
Experience with fixture installation and wiring techniques
This is a remote position.
