Senior Accountant

JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a Senior
Accountant to support Norwegian accounting firms with their day-to-day financial operations. This role involves managing core accounting functions, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and maintaining strong communication with both internal and external stakeholders.

You will be part of a professional accounting team that values precision, efficiency, and collaboration across borders.

About the Role:

Responsibilities:

• Manage the accounting functions for Norwegian companies.
• Bookkeeping, Remittance, Payroll Processing and Invoicing using various accounting software.
• Importation of opening balances, bank statements, & sales report.
• Perform accurate data entry for payables, receivables, and general journal vouchers.
• Prepare and reconcile accounts during period-end closings.
• Communicate effectively with Norwegian accountants and clients regarding accounting matters.
• Learn and apply basic Norwegian language skills to enhance communication and understanding of accounting documentation.
• Up to date knowledge in Norwegian accounting policies.
• Assist with other accounting-related tasks as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, or a related accounting field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
• Experience working with international clients is required.
  
  Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• High level of computer literacy, including strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and Google Workspace.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

Preferred:

• CPA license is an advantage.
• Familiarity with the following Norwegian accounting systems:
  Tripletex, Power Office Go, Visma, or 24
  
  Seven Office, or similar.
