Financial Controller (Remote, EST hours required)

A defense contractor in Columbia MD is hiring a Controller to lead their accounting function. This role requires extensive experience with DCAA and GSA audits as well as Deltek Costpoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead day to day accounting activities
• Manage month and year end close processes
• Review financial information, account reconciliations, fixed assets and complex journal entries
• Oversee financial planning procedures such as budgeting and forecasting
• Main POC with DCAA and GSA external audits
• Manage performance and process efficiencies of Deltek Costpoint

Qualifications

• MS and BS degree in Accounting
• CPA license
• 10+ years progressive accounting experience in government contracting industry
• 5+ years experience with Deltek Costpoint
• Local to Columbia MD area
