Director, Govt Compliance & Accounting

Kforce has a client in Columbia, MD that is seeking a Director, Government Program Compliance & Accounting to lead and strengthen government contract accounting, compliance, and program finance operations. This individual will serve as a key business partner across the organization, ensuring compliance with government contract requirements while driving accountability, process improvements, and operational excellence.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
• Strong government contract accounting and compliance experience
• Experience supporting government-funded programs and contract requirements
• Experience managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
• Strong knowledge of program cost accounting, project accounting, and compliance controls
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
• Demonstrated ability to drive issues through to resolution and improve organizational accountability
• Strong process improvement and problem-solving capabilities
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally with finance, operations, HR, and business leaders

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
