MBP is seeking leaders in the design and construction industry to support the delivery of complex projects and programs. Candidates must have ten or more years of combined education and/or experience, advanced knowledge in installing complex architectural and building envelope systems, and experience with laboratories, data centers, and secure facilities with SCIFs. Progressive career development and expertise in quality control, quality assurance, construction management, and field engineering are essential.
MainDuties
Duties include providing pre‑construction and on‑site owner representation for medium‑to‑large‑scale construction projects, managing cost, schedule, and quality on behalf of the client, and overseeing building envelope commissioning.
- Represent client on-site, providing quality assurance, documentation, cost control, and time management‑related services.
- Work collaboratively with the project delivery team to identify risks and issues and develop mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate, monitor, and manage inspection activities.
- Verify that construction is performed in accordance with contract plans, specifications, and approved shop drawings.
- Prepare detailed daily reports documenting work performed.
- Document and track issues/non‑conformance items until corrected.
- Coordinate and track submittals and requests for information.
- Participate and assist in documenting project meetings.
- Communicate effectively with Owner, Contractor, Designer, and MBP team in a professional manner.
- Coordinate and oversee building envelope commissioning agent and other third‑party owner contractors.
- Coordinate and perform final inspection, prepare punch lists, and ensure all items on the punch list are completed or corrected by the contractor.
- High school diploma or GED, plus ten years of related experience and/or education.
- Associate’s degree, plus eight years of related experience and/or education.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field, plus five years of related experience.
- OSHA 10‑hour or OSHA 30‑hour certification, or obtain within three months of hire.
- Knowledge of basic mathematics, including computations based on field measurements.
- Considerable construction‑related training or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates ability to perform the job.
- Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools used in the type of construction work for the area of responsibility.
- Expertise with quality assurance and quality control techniques.
- Ability to work independently and handle all aspects of a project, including client interface, technical issues, documentation, and reporting.
- Exercise tact and diplomacy in dealing with sensitive and complex issues and situations.
- Identify potential problems and derive recommended solutions from past experiences.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, email, internet navigation, web‑based tools, and other specialized equipment.
- Read and interpret plans and contract specifications.
- Communicate quality issues effectively and responsibly (verbally and in writing) with internal and external customers.
- Obtain and maintain required certifications.
- Stand, sit, climb ladders, work at heights, and work outdoors in a wide range of weather conditions.
- Safely navigate construction work sites with uneven terrain.
- Fingerprint‑based criminal history background check, reference verification, and work history required prior to employment.
- Must be a US citizen.
Full‑time
Salary$100,000 – $130,000 per year
