PositionPart-time MSDE School Age Qualified Teachers and Assistant Teachers
Program contextColumbia Association’s School Age Services program operates before and after school care in 20 elementary schools in Howard County.
Responsibilities- Assist with implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and weekly lesson plans meeting the emotional, physical, intellectual, and social needs of children.
- Assist with cleaning and maintaining a healthy, safe environment.
- Promote positive, open communication with families, children, and staff.
The position is for the school year that begins in August 2025 through June 2026. Open shifts include morning shifts (6:45am – 9:15am) and afternoon shifts (3:00pm – 6:00pm). A candidate may choose to work both shifts or only the morning or afternoon shift. The last day of school is in June 2026.
Compensation & benefits- Pay range: $16.00 to $21.90 per hour. The actual pay rate offered will depend on the overall qualifications of the applicant and the amount budgeted for the role.
