We focus on five critical services: housing assistance, food assistance, energy assistance, weatherization assistance, and early childhood education.

Who You Are

As a Client Services Specialist
- Family Engagement at CAC, you will work closely with operational staff to support the delivery of high-quality Early Childhood Education services at your assigned worksite. Your role is critical in enrolling eligible families, ensuring they receive all necessary services, supporting staff in providing services, and coaching parents on their personal and professional goals based on the family’s program enrollment type.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable representing CAC's two-generation approach at outreach and community partnership events. This role requires emotional intelligence to help grow and develop CAC's scaling programs.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Center Manager in monitoring building compliance and coordinate with internal team members to resolve any issues, ensuring a safe and secure environment for children and staff.
  • Oversee site operations in the absence of the Center Manager.
  • Assist with the enrollment and recruitment of families using the CAC Universal Application for all program offerings.
  • Manage a caseload of 40 or more families at various levels of service and need; conduct case management, inputting and updating all family files per agency standards.
  • Act as a liaison among internal teams to ensure that all clients receive comprehensive services.
  • Analyze, monitor, and track reports for ECE and family engagement to facilitate program and school readiness goals.
  • Plan and implement ECE outreach and family engagement events and maintain relationships with community partners.
  • Establish Family Partnership Agreements with families.
  • Participate in self-assessments, selection and placement of children, and monitor caseload attendance.
  • Make periodic home visits aligned with program requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor's degree with major coursework in social or behavioral sciences, social work, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Possess or be eligible to obtain qualifications to serve as a Child Care Center Director per Maryland State Department of Education requirements.
  • 1+ year onsite early childhood education experience.
  • 1+ year case management experience in early childhood education setting.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to use personal vehicle for travel within Howard County.
  • Ability to work in an agile and evolving environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong computer proficiency, especially with Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Teams.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and speak English.
Preferred
  • CAP
    60 experience.
  • Project management experience.
  • Early childhood education experience, specifically Head Start and Early Head Start.
