Water Resources CADD Technician
PositionEcosystem Planning and Restoration, LLC (EPR) has an open position for a full‑time CADD Technician in our Columbia, MD office. We are looking for detail‑oriented individuals with strong technical drafting skills, problem‑solving abilities, and an interest in environmental design projects. Ideal candidates will have experience in Computer‑Aided Design using Bentley Micro Station products (preferred) or AutoCAD, supporting ecosystem restoration design and water resources engineering projects.
Preferred candidates will be self‑motivated, able to collaborate effectively in a multi‑discipline team setting, and have the ability to travel periodically for project site visits. Duties will include working closely with project managers and engineers to prepare plans, drawings, and maps for environmental and restoration projects related to streams, wetlands, shorelines, stormwater BMPs, and other water resource systems.
- Two‑ or four‑year degree from an accredited college or university in engineering technology, drafting/design, or a related field.
- Preferred 1 to 3 years direct drafting and design experience
- Computer‑Aided Design (Bentley Products Preferred / AutoCAD Acceptable)
- Preparation of engineering plans and technical drawings
- Watershed and site mapping from survey data
- Ecosystem restoration design drafting support
- Stormwater BMP design layouts
- Strong computer skills (GIS experience a plus)
- Attention to detail and accuracy in technical drawings
- Ability to follow design standards and specifications
- Report graphics and map preparation
- Environmental permitting drawing packages
