We're Hiring a Part-Time Accountant to Join Our Team
We're seeking a talented and motivated Part-Time Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will support the Director of Finance with daily financial operations and assist with month‑end financial statement preparation. This position requires a proactive, tech‑savvy team player who is comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate financial records in Quick Books Online, including transaction coding, reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Enter and manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) invoices.
- Prepare standard and custom financial reports, such as Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet statements.
- Maintain and update balance sheet schedules, including depreciation, leases, and prepaids.
- Analyze financial statements and explain discrepancies to the Director of Finance.
- Monitor the finance team’s group email and communicate with third parties as needed.
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Finance and other team members as a dependable and communicative team player.
- 3–5 years of experience in bookkeeping and/or accounting (minimum of 2 professional references required).
- Proficiency in Quick Books Online.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Office 365 (Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.).
- Ability to work independently with attention to detail, confidentiality, and strong organizational skills.
- Willingness to work in‑person 1–2 days per week in the office.
- Availability to work 12–15 hours per week, with potential for more depending on workload and time of month.
- Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting.
- Familiarity with Rippling payroll reporting and payroll allocation.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
